So after going bankrupt in 2014, Vestax are back as STP/Vestax...or stpVx...
apparently the owner blames poor management and a drop in quality for the demise of Vestax. For this new enterprise, it will supposedly be a more boutique affair .. I hear only something like 20 units output per month, directly from the website.
This mixer is due out in may, and there's a pre-amp and new turntable on the way.

aesthetically its eye pleasing but the fader placement is horrible. even non "scratch" djs would bump a level fader while mixing...

Im not so sure. The fader should be the bottom most control on the surface in my humble opinion. The way I hold the fader my pinky would be touching that channel 4 fader

Aha im a lefty, left is my main cutting deck, so the fader suits me more, yeah a righty thos could be a pissef agreed.
Although there is a fader bank replacement, you can have it rotary instead (but then you lose the up cuts)
