SynthMaster 2.8 no AU validation in Logic!

I tried everything described here and still cannot get 2.8.2 to work Logic 10.2.2, OS 10.10.5. Will there be a fixed installer soon?
UPDATE: redid everything, now it works but you need to download the new keyfile and place it manually as described - old keyfile won't work.

I am currently trying to figure out why the key file dialog doesnt show up. Anyhow, in case it fails to load, I added a workaround code so now the user is directed to our page: http://www.synthmaster.com/requestlicensekeyfile.aspx and after receiving the license key file in the email, they can place it under Documents\Synthmaster folder.
Works at KV331 Audio

You're on a wild goose chase if you think it's anything to do with the auval alone. Like I said I was also getting crashes or it not loading in VST hosts too - so in all those cases the expected popup didn't show. Moving the new activation into the Synthmaster folder fixed those too.kv331 wrote:When the key file version doesn't match, that popup window shows up and asks for serial number/email address. Looks like when run from auval there's an issue. I'll try to figure out why. If I can catch the exception inside that failing cause I can at least display an error message and redirect the user to our "request license key file" page.aMUSEd wrote:OK validates now - so all these problems just because the keyfile was in a different place?
Can't change skin to the blue one though.

I guess I fixed the issue. Testing now.
It's really a pain in the a** to test a simple dialog box on 32/64 bit environments. They're all different
I send my best regards to Apple for inventing Objective C while we already had the wonderful C++ They deserve an f word from me.
2.8.3 update coming shortly...

The new version is f**ked up. I removed all folders, got the license file, and then it validated. Then I put the waveforms back in ~/Documents/SynthMaster, opened an instanceof SynthMaster, and it crashed Logic:

Wait for v2.8.3, uploading now. I've tested with all 15000 Galbanum waveforms to make sure that it works. There are also other serious fixes in this update:
1. FIX: Renaming presets crash SynthMaster
2. FIX: Deleting presets crash SynthMaster
3. FIX: Loading preset metadata might crash SynthMaster
4. FIX: SynthMaster incorrectly categorizes waveforms with '.' in their names as multisamples
5. FIX: Clicking on left right arrows crash SynthMaster Player
6. FIX: SynthMaster Player doesnt open up session files saved with v2.7
7. FIX: FavouritePresets.txt file might crash SynthMaster
8. FIX: License Key File Request dialog doesn't show up on some MacOSX systems

As mentioned in the main thread, it did this for me too - the popup window asked for email address and serial number. I couldn't simply copy & paste them from my account; I had to manually enter the info. It worked just fine once I did that tho. Logic Pro X 10.2.2, Mac OSX 10.9.5 (Mavericks)

I am having this same issue, Logix Pro X, El Capitan, and pinwheel hang. I spent four hours this weekend trying to resolve it after looking at different solutions on the web. I sent a detailed message to support, and received this from the CEO/President:
"SynthMaster does not have a validation issue with Logic."
Really disappointed by this brush off of a paid and registered user!! Appreciate any help the community, otherwise I'm giving up on Synthmaster and KV331.

Do you have the updated register file? Is it in the right place? Is the folder with the supporting files correctly created and in the right place?thinandlight wrote:I am having this same issue, Logix Pro X, El Capitan, and pinwheel hang. I have the same problem and I know that these are in the right place because I had to move them to fix this problem for 2.8.1 so they are still in the same place, only now it is failing the scan yet again.fmr wrote:Do you have the updated register file? Really? It really sucks, then. Did you try to delete preferences, or repair permissions? These are two common sources for problems in Macs.aMUSEd wrote:I have the same problem and I know that these are in the right place because I had to move them to fix this problem for 2.8.1 so they are still in the same place, only now it is failing the scan yet again.fmr wrote:Do you have the updated register file? Can't repair permissions on El Cap, I'm not going through reinstalling this again, it's clearly just a buggy build that needs fixing.
