That's correct. The 6-bit samples are shaped by a simple VCA and a lowpass filter. So if any of the various clones use the same 6-bit raw data the results should be quite similar..electro wrote: I thought the Cymbals portion of the 909 were 6-bit samples while the other instruments were synthesized.
Best Software emulation of the Roland TR-808 Rhythm Composer?

Tromine, Nepheton, and ADM are probably the 3 closet of the true emulations.scalawag wrote:No love for TromineGT??

Deals with the Ram issue too, however after a restore to factory settings recently done on my PC the first Wave Alchemy 'TR' version seems to be ok on Ram now?!!! I put all the sounds on the piano roll playing all at once, repeated on the 16ths and looped it over 4 bars, no problems this time, so this next version optimised on the Ram should have no problems whatsoever....Aloysius wrote:Thanks for the heads up.
All recorded with Class A Drugs ...
I'm sticking with using this for now until I see what Roland have planned, I'm wondering if they will be reissuing the original after seeing what Korg have been doing! I was almost going to buy the AcidLab Miami, that's now on hold...
I also made templates on my Remote Zero SL MkII for both the Transistor Revolution 808 and 909, works fine.

Always used it for that kind of stuff too. Unfortunately, you can't rewire it into a 64-bit hosts, because it's 32-bit only. I don't know how good of an emulation it is though. Sounded ok to me.
