how to "remix" the stereo of a track?

How to do this, that and the other. Share, learn, teach. How did X do that? How can I sound like Y?

Sorry for the unclear Subject, i don't know how to explain in few words.

I need to make the music for the exibition of an artistic roller skating couple. one of the songs used is "bang bang" from the Kill Bill OST.
That song is recorded with a guitar in the left channel and the voice on the right one.
The problem is that, depending how good is the sound equipement of the "stadium" you're skating in, you'll end with some awful audio result.

How could i "mix" the two channel in a way that they are present in both channel without being pure MONO?

I have just a DAW, and i can use any free VST effect for this....
...but before adventuring in a trial&error quest, i'm asking for tips or even proven solution from you experts.

Thanks :)

My initial thought: Flux Stereotool ( http://www.fluxhome.com/products/freewa ... reotool-v3) - Pan them both towards the centre, then adjust the stereo width to widen the sound.
