Hi all. It's been a few years since I did one of these so it was a lot of fun taking up the challenge once again.

This is a bit of lighthearted groove created with 55 instances of TAL-NoiseMaker, some DAW EQ, compression and Smart Electronix Ambience reverb. Nada mas. No attempts at efficiency were made since I had no problem running that many instances. Some of the more complex sounds (like the Rhodes piano) were combos of 2-4 instances of NoiseMaker. Initially the track was composed on iPad using Oscillab driving separate MIDI tracks in Ableton Live. Thesys was used to create the funky plunk ostenato part. The remainder was recorded as a live jam.

I ended up creating a fair number of patches for this (and modding a bunch more) which I'll upload to the KVR library.

So here is my track for this OSC, well at least what I could come up with since last week´s monday, when I read about this challenge and decided to participate for the first time. It´s a friendly little tune, since I didn´t have the time to develop it into something more epic. But it was really astounding for me what you can do with one single synth...

Spent 20 hours on this but an additional 6 hours trying to export it (project is glitch mayhem & it even screwed up a lot of my sounds, maybe because I used Patcher a lot?)

Used:
TAL Noisemaker (120 instances)
FX: Ariesverb, Fruity PEQ1, GClip, Limiter No 6, NightShine, Sleepy Time Transient Shaper, Fruity Delay Bank, Fruity Reverb, OTT, MJUCjr, Soundgoodizer.. (subtle use with all FX)

I will EDIT this post & list the rest of what I used. I stuck to the rules because no point in cheating.
Didn't use as much automation/layering this time, I used patcher for most instances to use Fruity Envelope Controller to modulate whatever I could.
Quite a shame that only very few parts in this sound how it originally did.. unfair but decided to upload anyway

It would be the record... except, I had the prior record of 111 instances with Charlatan v2.

But all active? No bounces? .... I'm reaching, here... NinjaMode had the record before, at like 82 instances with Charlatan v1. EDIT: sonofoa..., you're right, I didn't actually have the record exclusively... we need this documented somewhere!!
