Hello all, it was working yesterday, and I'm sure I had this problem a while back on a previous version. When I open up the Mediabay to preview loop sounds, there is now no sound from my loops. And when I also import an audio file from the file menu, onto an audio track, there is the option to preview the sound also from the Windows window, and there's no sound also from here either before importing into the project workspace. Very annoying, could anyone jog my memory for the fix? Cheers.

I only can speak for my System.
When I have no sound in preview or mediabay it´s because control room is activated.
But I don´t use it.After switching off it always works here.
Press F4
Then go to Studio
Deactivate the Control Room switch if you don´t use it.

This is a classic issue, we even have a Knowledge Base article about it: https://www.steinberg.net/nc/en/support ... eview.htmlTimerider wrote:Hello all, it was working yesterday, and I'm sure I had this problem a while back on a previous version. Also, I would recommend that now that you know about the control room that you learn how to use it instead of disabling it. It is one of those magic Cubase features. They screwed up the UI when they went channel strip and tabs instead of mixer like it used to be, but the features and functions are still awesome, speaker switching, configurable dim, mono check, headphone mix (although not enough channels), integrated calibrated meter and more.
Do yourself a favor and figure it out.

That would be fine in a pro studio set up, but for my set up, a basic home studio, no external instruments, all vst instruments, I'd say it's unneeded. It does look handy in the right studio.

Actually if you want to check your mixes in mono, or do dims during mixing or check mixes on several speakers and a dozen other things that apply to home in the box just as much as pro studio, it's the ticket.Timerider wrote:That would be fine in a pro studio set up, but for my set up, a basic home studio, no external instruments, all vst instruments, I'd say it's unneeded. And if you want to use the "listen" function, which is like "solo", but better.SJ_Digriz wrote:Actually if you want to check your mixes in mono, or do dims during mixing or check mixes on several speakers and a dozen other things that apply to home in the box just as much as pro studio, it's the ticket.Timerider wrote:That would be fine in a pro studio set up, but for my set up, a basic home studio, no external instruments, all vst instruments, I'd say it's unneeded. I have a stunning but solitary pair of KRK VXT 6's, so no multi speaker monitoring set up, but that said, it's only f4 and a single button to arm and disarm it, I shall indeed have a closer look Sirs!
