What I mean to say is : settings are not saved in (my) FLStudio. :(
Aye, that's no good. We'll have to tackle this. I just tested the latest FL12, and it worked. I tested it by only scanning the Tunefish folder
(Works just fine in Bitwig, OSX as far as I can tell...)

I heard through the grapevine that it might depend on what preset you start from, whether it saves or not in FL???

It can do very decent acoustic snares. I did a convincing acoustic kick drum too, although it was a little tricky operation.
The bass guitar was a little bit easier.
A think I can make a good rock'n roll this month!

A big drawback is the modulation matrix without velocity as a source.

Long time ago I tried this one and it was buggy. I hope it works better this time ;)

Thanks :) ..it seems more stable so far. Last time I tried it I used FL Studio 10 and not it's 12. Perhaps its a good thing

Does anyone know why ADSR1 and ADSR2 does not seems to work? When I change attack, sustain, etc, nothing happens. I been looking to see if there is something I should do to "activate" or select them but I can't find anything.

They are less sensitive than usual synths. Like the A and R need to be at the very top to make a string sound. Maybe that's the issue?

Unfortunately no. I set all the levels to minimum but there was no change. Then I tried all to maximum, still no change. So unless I missed something I would say it's a bug.

I think you have to route them in the matrix and set the modulation amount.
Going to check this and a few other things this morning.

I tried before but I could not get it to work. So I tried again. I routed ADSR1 to LP cutoff and this time something is happening :D ..I will continue to explore this because I never seen this way of doing stuff before. Thanks! :tu:

Rich is the bomb

So in order to get the envelope to work as a normal envelope I had to route ADSR1 to Volume. If anyone else (besides me) had trouble to figure this out

Fear not, the developer is here ;) I will get the source code out, dust it, and see if it compiles. Then let the games begin :D I am looking so much forward to what you guys are making with it, I will see to fix as many bugs as possible.

any additive synthesis resources you know and want to share? this might also be a good time to learn more about it

Post

Just browsing through the presets and I think this thing sounds amazing.
And I have no idea how this thing works, so there's an opportunity to learn something new.

And a serious question now because I may be breaking this rule:
  • Your entry must be composed specifically for this contest
The thing is, I want to participate in the Open Source Musician Postcast TuneStorm.
    • Tunestorming is an uncompetition. Each participant creates their own music to the same broad guidelines, until the grand submission date when we each show and tell what we did.

Keep your work a secret, so that everyone has a clear head to come up with their own ideas. We expect to have some radically different approaches, different styles of music, different types of instruments, and of course different ways of getting it onto a computer and into a file format for submission. At every stage of the project you are free to use any software, hardware or body parts. At the end, all participants' work will be revealed and we can discover how differently (or similarly?) we have each approached the task.
This time the guideline is to use one or more of these riffs:

https://archive.org/download/RiffItFile ... Legato.mp3
https://archive.org/download/RiffItFile ... tacato.mp3
https://archive.org/download/RiffItFile ... Legato.mp3
https://archive.org/download/RiffItFile ... tacato.mp3
https://archive.org/download/RiffItFile ... oustic.mp3
https://archive.org/download/RiffItFile ... ectric.mp3

The files are of course also available as midi.

Of course the 2 riffs are far from a composition but they will be have quite a big impact on the song I think.
So what do you guys and girls think ?
Just be honest. I can take it ;-)
