There has GOT to be a way to do this. It's freaking 2016!

Ok so I acquired a Mac Pro a few months back. I have 2 PCs (one master one vsl slave).
I'd like to use the Mac Pro as an effects rack. Run channels from Cubase into Mac Pro's MainStage for effects, and then run it back in. Can't I do this without having to get a physical soundcard. The problem is I have only one ADAT set free in my RME so at most I can only have 4 physical stereo busses.
I have VEP but it doesn't host Mainstage!
There HAS to a better way to do this than to get physical.

You could take a look at Vienna Ensemble Pro. If I understand what you're trying to do correctly, you would use VEP in place of Mainstage, and would host your effects on VEP instead, communicating over LAN.

Thanks but I already have VEP and it doesn't host Mainstage and/or logic.
