Not to sure which forum topic this is, but it's mainly a software question
Can anyone suggest a method or existing program that lets me monitor the MIDI/SYSEX output sent by various
software editors (VST or standalone exe) to their hardware counterparts, so that I can inspect the data they output.
Thanks Kirsty

I also recommend MIDI Ox, but don't take my word for it, take Native's:
https://www.native-instruments.com/en/s ... ontroller/
(It may say input of a MIDI controller, but they work the same for the outputs, you just have to configure it)

OK, I've installed MIDI Ox as you suggest but it doesn't find any MIDI output ports and even reports 'not enough memory' if I try to launch a hardware synth editor, so it's not happy on my win7 system and the associated MIDI YOKE driver completely refuses to install.
