Is it just about producing sound sets? Frankly, i don't think a hardware synth would be a bad recommendation. You literally own every soft synth which has ever been recommended here. Why not go for some hardware. Waldorf Blofeld. Definitely affordable, and modern enough that you can even make soundsets for it.wagtunes wrote:Unfortunately, there is no market for making sound libraries for these things and even if there were, the number of libraries I would have to sell to make up for the cost of the synths would be way more than I could ever hope to sell.koukouba wrote:maybe its time you started fiddling with some real knobs my friend

Yes, why? Does it matter?Karma_tba wrote:I apologize in advance for not recommending a synth....but I am curious...are you an American? A simple yes or no will suffice.

Yes, it is only about making soundsets for my business. The cost of these would make the required sales astronomical just to cover the costs.chk071 wrote:Is it just about producing sound sets? Okay, let's do the math.chk071 wrote:Blofeld is very affordable though.
Through Sweetwater, it's $500.
I sell my sets for roughly around $20 for 250 presets and $15 for 150 presets.
So let's say I spend tons of time on this and make 250 presets. At $20 each, I would have to sell 25 sets just to get my money back.
While the success rate of my business is none of anybody's business, let's just say that there is no way in hell I'm making my money back from this purchase, let alone make a profit.
Yeah, not happening in this lifetime.

If I had spare cash, know what I'd get?chk071 wrote:Ok then. I just thought you might have a bit of money spare, and wanted to try something new perhaps.
This.

And then keep building from there. That's my dream someday, to be able to afford a monster modular system.
