Synthetica is a soundset/sample library of 196 patches for Omnisphere 2 and 174 patches for Iris. It consists mostly of pads, but also playable textures, poly synths, bells and a few basses.
The patches are comprised of 221 custom made samples recorded from various analog and digital synthesizers.
The samples have been processed through a wide variety of plug-ins from Universal Audio, FabFilter, Lexicon, SoundToys, ValhallaDSP, u-he, Native Instruments, Zynaptiq, iZotope and others.
Most of the samples have been specifically processed to sound good when played polyphonically, and the result is everything from complex, evolving waveforms to simple, basic building blocks.
Synthetica is a collection of highly expressive and musical patches with lots of motion. They are mainly geared towards ambient, electronica, soundtracks for films, games and TV productions, as well as intros, outros and breakdowns for electronic dance music - or any other genres of music that needs an atmospheric touch.
All patches have mod wheel assignments, and all Omnisphere 2 patches and soundsources are tagged using Omnisphere's tagging system for easy access. All soundsources are seamlessly looped.
Some of the sampled synthesizers:
Prophet 12
Prophet '08
Sub Phatty
Virus TI
Microwave XT
Blofeld
Nord Lead 2
https://soundcloud.com/soundescape/sets/synthetica
Price: $39 each or $49 for the bundle of both soundsets for Omnisphere 2 and Iris.
Available at http://www.soundescape.no

This soundbank sounds as good as anything I have heard from omni soundbank designers lately.
However the install is a dud: rar file unzipping errors all the way to manual install only
and then to top it all, some omni patches cannot find the soundsources.
This is a premium priced library so my disappointment is severe.
I emailed the developer and hope that there is going to be a solution soon.
I will report here if I find out how to remedy these problems for others who can benefit from the info.

Some customers have reported problems with incomplete downloads. The links that are automatically generated and sent to you after a purchase, can sometimes be a little flakey. We are working on a solution.
An automatic install file would be preferred. But using this installation method, Omnisphere will for some reason place all patches in a single folder, disregarding all category folders and pictures used. I found manual installation to be pretty straightforward though.
The reason you're seeing missing soundsources with some patches is because you've unzipped incomplete downloads.
If you have any problems downloading the files, please send an email to support@soundescape.no and we'll get it sorted.
I'm terribly sorry for this inconvenience.

Problem solved thanks to Tore's super fast response!
This library is an absolute gem! I cannot recommend it highly enough...

Bought this set a couple of days ago.
These may be the first two libraries from this developer, but that is certainly no indication of the callibre of them.
They are certainly up there with many of the other commercial sound sets for Omnisphere and Iris that I own.

My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Akai VIP = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.

Thanks, guys! Glad you like the sounds.
We've set up a slightly different system for delivering download links. No complaints yet, so hopefully the problem we were having earlier have been ironed out.

Impressed. Great sounds. Very analog.
Not even one quarter through the sounds yet but already lots of 5-stars! I'm impressed that the vast bulk of each sound is made from the new sample, not fx. A real joy to play and very inspiring. I think this set is one of the very best for Omni, right up there with Luftrum Ambient 2 and Bob Moog Tribute.

Wow! I don't often check out the Soundware section, but I always love it when I stop by and discover something new and refreshing. I checked out the Omnisphere demo last night and it is absolutely fantastic! I'll be getting the full library.
The use of your own samples was very well done. They are playable across several octaves even though Omni doesn't let you multisample. And I liked the simulation of round-robin with LFO sample start. I'm sure others have done it, but I never noticed it before until looking at your mod tables.
The samples are also very playable as polyphonic. The pads are powerful, warm, bring strength...they were so inspiring to play.
I've already started telling others about it.

Thank you! I spent a ridiculous amount of time processing and testing those samples to sound good when played polyphonically over several octaves. Most of the patches have sample start point modulated with an LFO or velocity to simulate round robin, free running oscillators or velocity layers.
I initially made these samples and patches to be used in my own productions, but as the library grew I figured others might find them useful too.
