The first real computer I owned was late into my 20s. An Amstrad. Totally crap. I did a little search and was surprised to find that ... ''Amstrad was founded in 1968 by Alan Sugar at the age of 21''. Interesting fact. The Alan Sugar. Of course it was a lot later than 68 when I made my purchase.
Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

In the 80's it was either C64, Spectrum or Amstrad, so that is a good choice.
The rise and rise of Alan Michael Sugar Trading during the 70's and 80's
The decline began when he decided to get involved with Tottenham Hotspur in the 90's, it has been all downhill from there

Amstrad was most expensive of the three, definitely it didn't appear crap those days.Numanoid wrote:In the 80's it was either C64, Spectrum or Amstrad, so that is a good choice.

Mine was an Apple ][+ with a 9-voice ALF card. Way back in 1981.
