Yes, most AVs have some sort of way to do that. But you know, since the heuristics is so unreliable, it's better not to have it at all...imho...

I think turning the internet and antivirus off is a good plan for music sessions, but Avira's meant to be one of the better free AV progs. I wouldn't be happy doing without, and I'm far too mean to pay.
