£7 is not free ...

''Free Red Plugins with every Focusrite Interface''
Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

Cost me electric to run them why don't they provide money to pay for that then it's free.

Post

Wow do they really charge £229 for these 2 plugins?

Post

Tried them before and....quickly uninstalled them. There are so many better dev's of plugins that could do much better red plugins.

I think many might dismiss them because they are pretty transparent and do not add much character like some of the other emulation plugins. But both plugins are very usable. Compressor is definitely a keeper. It's good on drums, vocals and farts unlike the the currently free Cakewalk CA-2A which supposedly works well only on the latter two.
No signature here!

I could be wrong...it's happened before. :D
But I know that Dave did a LOT of work for Focusrite. Not totally sure about the Red series, to be honest.

He didn't do the Red series... but the folks involved weren't exactly slackers.
