I have both, MAutoVolume is probably slightly more advanced
technically speaking. Hornet AutoGain is probably more
flexible creativity wise and easier to use and understand.
Melda's does have surround support, up-sampling, AGC etc.
Hornet's has twice the number of detectors, more source options,
a much greater gain range, an (arguably) better UI, half the price etc.
Other than that, they are basically just envelope followers,
with a generally similar parameter set, not super sophisticated
calculatory beasts or anything.
If you don't need surround, theres nothing particularly compelling
about MAutoVolume over Hornet AutoGain Pro. IMO anyway...
I prefer the Hornet plug-in generally, including the old version.
