Nomad Factory's British MCL-2269 is modeled after the same unit (Neve 2254) as the Waves V-Comp. Does it sound similar, or sound like the hardware? I dunno, I've never used Waves, or that particular bit of Neve hardware. But I find the Nomad British series a bit more tolerable than the Blue Tubes bundles, FWIW.

DC8C, Works nicely for me for DBX style comp.

Could probably get you into 2500 territory if you knew what you were listening for.

not a 160 but a 165, cheap, and which should get you in the ballpark :

Also Klanghelm's DC8C2 should also allow you to get a similar sound with the proper settings.

I have read that Klanghelm DC8C does opto style. So how can it be an api or dbx and opto at the same time?
