How do people use Melodyne with bitwig atm?
In terms of workflow.

Export stems to standalone for multitrack edits?
Or multiple as vst directly on tracks?
Groupbusrecording into it and split audio again after reimport?

Post

I use it as a VST directly on audio tracks, but there are some timing issues I experienced doing that, so eventually once you've finished melodyne edits, you should bounce the melodyne tracks so that Melodyne is not running in real time when you are finishing and exporting the final version of your song.

Wow!
Pretty damn sexy... :o

I feel guilty for starting to use Studio One with their Übersweet event-fx and integrated Melodyne. :help:

+1 on ARA. definitely would be better than native semi-solution, melodyne crushes on multiple fronts. I would also be closer to leaving mixing in s1.

I'd settle for the ability to unload to Melodyne, then reload.

ARA is very important to me.
besides Melodyne there are two other plugins that are ARA capable.

What are those? Something also made by Celemony?

and

When I recall the other one I will chime in.

I think the Align Audio function in Sonar uses ARA as well.

omg, ARA/Bitwig would really be a dream come true for me. I've just come to the end of a couple of months hard work trying to find an integrated system for decent groove clip workflow + flexible tempo mapping... I've settled on Bitwig at the moment because the overall workflow is so good (with Nektar integration), but it's kind of crippled my tempo-flexing ambitions for the time being.

melodyne ARA is my strong preference for tempo manipulation (and indeed everything else it turns its hand to), and I completely agree with the poster who said ARA would be better than a native semi-solution... hardly any DAWs have managed decent tempo functionality..why not just submit to the quality and integrate? To me, more modular style integration of DAW elements is a good thing as long as it works.
