I should have done more research but I have a new iPhone 7 coming and can't figure out what bit of equipment I would need to connect my iRig pro keyboard which has a lightning connector to my iPhone 7 and still listen to headphones.

I can see there are tons of charge an headphone adaptors but none of them pass usb data on the charge bit. They only er... charge.

Any ideas?

I have not tried this but how about connecting a 4 in 1 lightning USB hub and then use a USB mini portable DAC/amp to connect to the hub. Use the normal USB cable for the keyboard connection also to the hub.

Thanks. I will look into it.

I understand that Apple have a iPhone 7 doc that will pass data and has a headphone socket. I will try that.

Yes, the Apple Lightning Dock was tested and works with our products.

I figured a way.

Get a OTG to lightning cable which looks like this.

And a powered USB Hub.

Connect the keyboard via usb to the hub. Connect the audio interface, i'm using a Behringer UFO202 to the hub using usb.

Connect the lightning cable to the iPhone 7. That's it.

Glorious sound and keyboard action. It works well and quite cheap.
