Is jBridge completely not working with Cubase 9 or does it mean that Cubase must be run as administrator on Windows?

I know for Nuendo 7.1 running 64bit, jbridge says it requires to run as administrator to work properly. I haven't set nuendo to run that way so I can't personally verify that it does work, but I have reasons to suspect it does work.

Yes, this is a not so new behavior and was changed some times ago by the jBridge developer. So it's not really clear if this unresolved bug for Cubase 9 means exactly this problem.zvenx wrote:I know for Nuendo 7.1 running 64bit, jbridge says it requires to run as administrator to work properly. It's always again puzzling me that devs don't seem to have heard of UAC yet. Or is it that jBridge only needs admin rights, when it's installed in a folder which needs admin rights to write to? But, again, there's been so many times where there was a problem with a plugin, because, on installation, it didn't write the plugin files to both account's Documents folder, or something like that. Really weird that devs are able to code extremely complex software, and aren't aware that the installer has to write the stuff to all user accounts personal files. Yes, Waldorf, looking at you.

Sad to report that performance issues on Mac OS Sierra appear to still be present in Cubase 9 Pro for me. I had hoped.
CPU overloads every few seconds on a small project. Seems to be exactly the same graphics related glitches I have with Cubase 8.5.
Back to Studio One v3 for me. Still crazy to me Studio One outperforms Cubase by a wide margin on my machine.

And of course, as I expected, there's a problem. I went to activate my CB9 Pro license and it needs to update the eLicensor database. I go to do that. It took quite a while then eventually timed out at the last step. Anyone else having issues with this?

Hello,
Best regards,
GN
We will look right away into that, have you performed a maintenance update on the eLicenser Control Center? And see if that fixes it?xphen0m wrote:And of course, as I expected, there's a problem. Hello,
Best regards,
GN
It looks like the eLicenser server is having problems with the amount of requests, please try again latter, and we apologise for the inconvenience.billcarroll wrote:Same happening here, even after updating the eLicenser Control Center.xphen0m wrote:And of course, as I expected, there's a problem. hung on the last step for about 10 minutes then spit this out:
"Sending eLicenser Information
A communication problem occurred while accessing the license server.
Please try again after downloading and installing the latest version of the eLicenser Control software from <www.eLicenser.net>, or contact your software vendor's support department in case the problem persists.
"
with the latest eLicenser that I downloaded today. probably a traffic issue?

Just upgraded to the new Cubase 9 Pro and it looks great but my "recent projects" list from 8.5 has disappeared. Is there any way to get that back? I've got at least 7 or 8 things I'm working on and it's really inconvenient to have to go hunting for each one. Thanks!
