I bought it a while ago, but only took some time with it recently.

Lots of potential! I made some nl tunes on game boy 8 years ago, until my cartridge started showing signs of corruption.
I really like what nanoloop ios does so far - keeping the simplicity, adding more channels, essential synth parameters to allow for movement in the sound. The barebone sampler is fun too.

Any tunes to share? Only scratched the surface so far, but seems promising.
I've kinda given up on apps that want to mirror the feature set of pc sequencers, nanoloop is totally different in that regard.

I thought i'd play with caustic more, but when i wanna work with fully featured synths i'm more drawn to the pc i find.

No one?
Well, if you're looking for something exceedingly simple that you can churn out tunes with, i heartily recommend it. It's a great design.

I use it for Android and love the sound you can get out of it and since the last update with the flexible automation and extra tracks!
I think that the greatest thing is that you get a full production out of the box more or less specially if you want some crunchy Chiptune sounds. It is funny how much variety of sound you can get out of Synthesizer/s as it looks so barebones.

There is a Soundcloud group for Nanoloop on Android but as it is the same as on ios...

(ps. Posted the above link and the first track from the group got automatically posted...
so to get to the group page click on the link above the Soundcloud track.)

I'm a big fan of nanoloop. Been using it on iOS and Android since 2008. Over the last 6 years I have used it for everything from synthesising drum patterns and writing simple ideas to scoring a feature length indie drama. I've written many many many tracks on nanoloop. I prefer its earlier versions, but it's still a good friend of mine. Thumbs up!

Let me revive this thread...
Many years have passed since Nanoloop was released for iOS, and it somehow still is the only iPhone app I've ever been able to make something with ever.
I also like the original interface better... but there's some neat new features in more recent versions of it. Like polyphony and stereo effects.
Somehow taking the chipmusic paradigm, with its distinctive sounds and limited set of tools and features to an mobile device makes totally sense and the more you play with it, the more you discover its potential, which can go way beyond what one would think. Of course on the iPad the thing is different... though it's still pretty cool there as well!
I've been making tracks on it for years now. On planes, trains, in waiting rooms, on park benches... even on the toilet :) Some of them were total crap, others I was able to turn into finished tracks (I'll soon release them as part of 2 EPs). It works well as a way to crank out ideas.

It is pretty timeless!
And priceless for Chiptune.
Feel that you can get some very beautiful tones out of it that is not necessary bound to the Chiptune genre.
Works on mobile devices from way back on Android.
Yes do not throw your old phones and tablets away!
They can still be used for doing some serious music with!!!

Love it

Amen to that! Which is valid for any type of gear I guess! I still have my first gen iPhone anyway! :)

Anyway... shameless self promo mode one: the above mentioned album is now out: https://pokabjorn.bandcamp.com/releases the last track was made completely in Nanoloop. The others all started as Nanoloop tracks, but were then tweaked a lot in Ableton Live.
