Found on their forum that installing latest elicenser fixes it, and indeed it does.

But you don't have to use it. All the panels except the track list/inspector can be opened as separate windows. You don't have to use the lower or right zones, or even the attached transport. But for many users, it is very helpful. And it has been highly requested, which is important :-)

I really don't like it either. The happy news is, it is completely optional -- it is not enabled by default. And can be enabled/disabled on the fly.

Hello,
trusampler wrote:Does Cubase 9 fix the issue when inserting a vsti and the audio engine skips or drops out audio for a second or two. To me this was my biggest hate for 8.5 , it always seemed very unprofessional when working in the studio with clients, and they would always think it was an issue with my cpu,and it clearly was cubase all along.

Any takers, can you test this ? It was completely easy to do, just have a track playing, and then insert a vsti and see if it drops out audio.
thanks
As already mentioned, Cubase does not have a gapless audio engine, it will always do it, it is not a bug it is just the way it is. To change that it will need to change the engine.

Exactly and I think that this is super important. I don't like the tiny mixer down bottom for proper mixing, but, it's perfect for when I'm building out the track. Similarly for editing. Sometimes you want that full screen, but most of the time the lower pane editor is just enough.

The flexibility is what makes the difference.

Hi, Also one can resize the lower zone right.
Make it wider and taller :-)

I'm looking at this picture and the only thing that comes to mind is: so much wasted space in that mixer. Have you made everything larger or is this the was Steinberg done it? Buttons are too big, pardon me they are huge. Am I the only one who see's it this way?

I resized it, to show it can be resized, wasn't sure everyone was aware it could be resized.

It is an automated system. You should get your key code in email near instantly.
