using UVI sample libraries/instruments ('Emulation', 'Darklight', etc) inside of Falcon?

anyone know exactly what's possible when using their sampled instruments ('Emulation', 'Darklight', etc) inside of Falcon? i've heard that they're more editable or whatnot, but haven't heard/seen any real examples of what you're able to do. what does it offer that running them inside UVI Workstation does not?

You'll get an almost full access to patch. It's similar to an access to any other patch you made yourself. If you want to see what you'll get but don't own Falcon look through video tutorals for Falcon. The possibilities are almost equal (exept exporting encripted samples and may be something else).
In UVIWorkstation you work with a custom interface of a library (no patch structure) and can access the simplest controls of effects, in Falcon you'll get more complex interfaces.
It's the same patch in Falcon and UVIWorkstation:

Also, in Falcon you can load more parts than in UVIWorkstation (only 4).You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

thanks, i think i almost get it. would you be able to upload a larger version of this pic? i think it would help me to visualize how the 'Synth Anthology' patch is broken down in Falcon, but it's too small to make out much detail. (the first one you posted, the Falcon screenshot.)lobanov wrote:You'll get an almost full access to patch. It's similar to an access to any other patch you made yourself. Yes, you can make Falcon patches from scratch, with your samples, using all Falcon oscillators and effects. If you're a "preset guy" it may be excessive. But if you're "tweak guy" Falcon is a paradise. There are very good tutorials, look through them. Or read manual. Falcon is a very-very powerfull synth and is much bigger than UVIWorkstation. You can save this custom-made patches, export them and even distribute. But they cannot be encrypted as native UVI libraries (.ufs). As I know your custom-made patches (.m5p) may be opened by UVIWorkstation and Motu MachFive.JPQ wrote:Thanks looks UVI stuff looks now bitmore useful. makes me wonder if possible make uvi sound set samples custom patches with Falcon not only modify presets ones with Falcon?
