Hi,
VstBuzz currently has a 55% off deal on the Ample Sound 'F II' Fender Strat:

It sounds enticing to get an Ample Strat for just 65 bucks, but there's no downloadable demo and online reviews are few and far between.
To make matters worse, the few audio demos on the Ample Sound site are mixes that show very little of what a sampled Strat should be able to deliver.
Any impressions by actual KVR owners would be very welcome!
Kind regards,
Joachim
Is Ample Sound F II (Strat) Guitar worth a 55% VstBuzz deal?

I have six Ample Sound guitars, so obviously I'm a fan. I slightly favor the acoustics over the electrics but I find all of them to be beautifully sampled and intelligently programmed. I'm more likely to use Ample Sound guitars in my work than any others, and I have a number of other options.
I'll even out myself and note than I'm a pretty fair guitar player but I'll use samples for parts where I'm too lazy to set up a microphone, etc., and can knock it out on keyboard just as effectively. That does make me a little critical on sound, which is why I tend toward Ample Sound.
At 55%, I'd consider that a steal for AGF.
They do have some trial versions you can download; unfortunately, the strat isn't one. But maybe you can try the Les Paul or Eclipse and at least judge their programming / sample quality.
