Here's a peview of what I am currently working on, still a bit of a draft and need finishing touches but most of the features are already there. What do you think about it? Suggestions?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJAZSzZLCSg&t=171s

Features so far:
  • Main Instrument has 5 Slots: Kicks, Snare/Rim/Clap, Hats (Closed, Open, Pedal), Crash
    Cymbal/Cowbell, Toms
(Hi, Mid, Low) for a total of 12 sounds.
  • Each of the 5 Slot has 32 different selectable kits of sounds: 32 Kicks, 32, Snares/Rim/Clap combinations, 32 Hats combinations(Closed, Open, Pedal), 32 Cymbals/cowbells, 32 Toms combinations (Hi, Mid, Low) for a total of 160 different sounds (32*5) and many different combinations (32^5)
  • Samples are mapped to General Midi Standard Drum Mapping, and can be played either by
playing the one-shot samples with Keys/MIDI, or using the onboard Drum Sequencer or both.
  • Samples come from analogue gear such as: Doepfer A-100, Roland System 100M, OSCar, Arturia
DrumBrute, Elektron Analog Rhythm, Korg Volca Beats, Rhythm Ace, Eko Dream Box, a Cicruit Bent
    Bontempi Keyboard, Korg KPR77
    and other stuff
  • Each slot can freely load any of the sampled kits, allowing to mix any kick with any snare, any hats
and so on. You can have as an example, a Doepfer A-100 kick, a Roland System 100m Snare,
Drumbrute Hats and Volca Toms, and so on…
  • Each slot has separate Volume, Pan and Tune controls for fine tuning of the samples
  • Each slot has Solo/Mute buttons
  • Each slot has independent selectable Filter with: Filter Type (different LP, HP), Cutoff and Resonance controls
  • Each slot has an independent Distortion amount control
  • Drum Sequencer with 32 Patterns, variations, swing controls
  • Sync Delay
  • Other Global FXs (LoFi, Phaser...) Still to be implemented

Looks great! Have you thought about realizing this outside of Kontakt?

One alternative would be to release it as a vst plugin like this one http://bedroomproducersblog.com/2016/11 ... chine-vst/

Or you could also use Plogues Sforzando and create something like this https://smmdrums.wordpress.com/2016/02/ ... zando-1-0/

^^^ Good idea. There is nothing like it in sfz-land! You may get a lot of users. Versilian Studios has a good free sfz mapping utility, too!

Hi guys an thanks for the kind words.
The problem is that exporting to AU/VST, apart for being quite difficult (at least for me) won't allow me to get all those features.
I am studying Maize Sampler and HIVE to get plugin-only version but In the near future I will kee kontakt...hopefully in Kontakt Player format, so everybody could use them, but it costs money to get a Kontakt Player license, and I am just a one-man-band, non a multi million Company ;-)
