Aw man, any tune with metacognitive in the title, I have to bite. 
The chord progressions and arps were really uplifting. Interesting change around 2:10. A dramatic tempo change going into a harder rocking section. This becomes a bit more of an epic journey around 2:10.
This section sounded like it was in 12/4. My ear was looking for a beat that was more grounded. Having the kick hit on 1 would probably accomplish this. To each his own of course. Really enjoyed it.
