I'm curious about how the new midi CC devices will integrate with synthesizers like the MeeBlip SE.

If you read up on how to set the MeeBlip up in the documentation (http://support.meeblip.com/use-one/get- ... eeblip-se/), there's also a long list of midi controll messages that can be used to control everything in the MeeBlip.

With knobs it's obvious that they are directly controllable. But how about switches? In their implementation they use CC:s which map to the switches on the MeeBlip and they use 0-63 for on and 64-127 for off. In the bw midi device, is it possible to define switches with specified ranges for on/off?

Also, is the midi device capable of adding an arbitrary amount of controls? I mean, so I could for instance create a MeeBlip controller device? And then to be able to store presets for the MeeBlip in bw for that device?

And what is the behavior when loading a midi device preset? Will it then output all the CC messages directly?

Does it handle sysex messages as well?

I did previously try to have a look at Ctrlr (http://ctrlr.org/), which lets you create a VST with arbitrary controls to control your devices. The generated VSTs just crashed for me on Linux, so I gave up that experiment...
