Hi. I have an akai s6000 that will not sample properly! For some reason,i can't get the gain to go above -30db! Tried e everything bought entirely new guts and i still can't get it to go above -30dbs! Please,someone help me! I'm ready to throw this thing out the window!

What exactly are you feeding into it? Usually samplers require a proper line input.
Do you maybe use a microphone or electric guitar without a preamp?

You know when i think about it,i asked myself that previously! But no,just running a cd player striaght into it. Might need a pre amp to boost the gain your saying. That haven't tried yet so we'll see. Thanks abunch

If you're using the line out from the cd player it should be loud enough. Did you try a different cd player to check? I usually run everything through a mixer before sampling (with hardware), to get that extra gain when needed. Handy for EQing samples on the way in too.
