Very well made and thought of GUI. everything is right there in front of you.
I wonder how well the Virus' envelopes will be modeled, how snappy will be the attack and most importantly, the decay of the filters. as of today, the only VST that almost nails this is Sylenth1.
How about the vowel filters of the Virus?

I tried to model the envelopes as close as I could. Yes there will be Vowel Filter too in the filter effects section.

I think it sounds good, but can it do something like this patch from my Virus?http://vocaroo.com/i/s1KZL5xUHib1 (http://vocaroo.com/i/s1KZL5xUHib1)

What is your guesstimate for release? Will there be a beta test? How about demo?

Sounds pretty much like a basic subtractive sound (actually reminds me of some Sylenth patch, maybe even a factory one). Judging from the specs posted by Adam i think it should be possible to fully recreate this patch.spec3543spec wrote:I think it sounds good, but can it do something like this patch from my Virus?

You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

Ya, also had to think of Sylenth1 when auditoning that patch (the default patch when you open Sylenth already sounds a bit alike). The resonance sounds a bit more "dry", and digital though. Almost sounds to me as if Rapid would be a good candidate to recreate that sound.

I dont want to say an exact release date, but right now, everything is back on track after a lot of problems, so it should be fairly soon. Its a matter of months. All I know is that it will come out before Half Life 3
There will also be a demo version of course.

luckily it also appears to have 4 envelopes (2 mod envelopes apart from the usual AEG/FEG) which separates it from a Virus TI as the latter has only AEG/FEG, with the three LFOs being able to function as EG (only with attack/decay though).

(Pardon if this has already been asked in this thread.)
Adam, do you plan on supporting loading of TI patches within Viper (or some conversion tool equivalent?)

I don't think it's an "actual" emulation. not being too familiar with his architecture, but I think it would prove to be VERY difficult to achieve precisely.bmrzycki wrote:(Pardon if this has already been asked in this thread.)
