What's the easiest way to create a synthesised rimshot? To get the "click" is bugging me!

Don´t think there´s an easy way, these are quite complex harmonics.

you can make good clicks and stick noises using comb filters. but you can also make them using very snappy envelopes and smash it with a compressor. long attack on the compressor, but make it SNAP really fast, it will create an acoustic SNAP sound
