There are only two gems I miss from the 32 bit world. One irreplaceable gem is short circuit and the other one is rubberfilter.

I pray a flexible easy to use alternative to rubber filter that's hopefully free? How difficult is it to find a great filter in the 64 bit World?

The Melda has a splash screen and doesn't save (I assume it doesn't save setting within DAW) for the free version.

Maybe this one is truly free;

You just had to click on "MFreeEffectsBundle" to read the following.

The software is totally free of charge, so please download and enjoy! You should consider upgrading to a professional version though, as this is what you would get:

You can change size and style of the plugins.
You can access the sonogram feature in the analyzers and equalizers.
You can manipulate (save, load, organise) your own presets.
Most plugins can perform upsampling which minimizes aliasing, therefore it is useful to improve sound quality.
The plugins will not display the big red reminder box with our clickable logo at the bottom of every GUI.
You will make us happy and help us develop more free software ;-)
....I would say your assumption is wrong.

That one I would consider being less free since it demands a C/R but that's less important than the fact that it's only a 6 db/oct filter... it's so far from being a replacement for Rubberfilter as a filter can get.

Sure MBandpass only has a 120 db/oct but it is as flexible Rubberfilter (well actually more flexible). MBandpass is an excellent free workhorse ... I have a hard time thinking about amy other x64 alternative that's free...

---not saying that there arent any.,

I can read, how `bout you?;

But yes, 6db is not a usable HLPF .
I'm 32bit, that's the best I could find in 64.

...I'm pretty sure that is only refering to the Preset Manager system of the Melda plugins.

There's no mention of demo-like restrictions of not being able to save the plugin setting in your project...and I have never heard anyone saying so.

I'll try it out..but it looks pretty complex. :-/ Rubber filter is 4 knobs and caveman-simple. I digress. I'll try it out, no complaining for freeware.

I have NI Komplete (so Reaktor 5) too, so any alternatives there would help as well.

If you don't bother with "multiparameter modulation" section (which you can collapse) it's very basic. You only need to focus on the Hi and Lo Pass sections with frequency/Q and Slope (db/oct)... perhaps it looks clearer and less complex with a basic skin like this...

I was going to recommend AD Filterstation, but it appears to be no longer available from their site.

HY-filter looks a decent and simple freebie ...
