Is there a workaround for loading Kontakt 3rd party libraries that aren't licensed by NI without buying the full version?

Not that I'm aware of. You're stuck with the time limit (I think it's 15 minutes) of the player. The best option (it isn't free) is to find a cheap Kontakt Player library; I seem to recall that there was a free library that had Kontakt Player, but I can't remember what it was. Once you have Kontakt Player, you can get a discounted upgrade to the full version of Kontakt.djmino02 wrote:Is there a workaround for loading Kontakt 3rd party libraries that aren't licensed by NI without buying the full version?
That's probably not what you want to hear, but the only other way I can think of is to either use some sort of converter software to get the third-party library (assuming it's unlocked) into a format that another plugin you do have can read, or manually re-map all the wavs to your sampler of choice. Either of these methods might not be all that great, if the library relies heavily on scripting (a lot of guitar sample libraries do, for example).

I don't know for sure, but Drum Mic'a might be a player library. I know that it has a full serial in NI Player.
It's a bit of a hassle to register, FYI. Maybe someone else can chime in on this to confirm that this works.

That's the one I was thinking of. The upgrade from Player to the full version is $249.00 USD, which still isn't cheap, but it's better than $399.00.ghettosynth wrote:I don't know for sure, but Drum Mic'a might be a player library. I know that it has a full serial in NI Player.

Register drummica, but wait for summer sale, you'll see either kontakt full version at 50% off ($200) or crossgrade from drummica at 50% off ($125), or both. The crossgrade is identical to full version, you only need to keep drummica registered in your account (you can't sell it anw)

As for workaround to use the library itself, you could open the library in kontakt player and bounce immediately (record to audio track). It works if you don't need heavy tweaking.
