The problem is that other people can respond while you're typing your post. If you think about it, it has to be that way, otherwise, late replies would then be inserted into the thread.Fleer wrote:I wish we wouldn't quote a post when we're simply replying to the last one. Would drastically reduce the thread's length and make it more readable.

Good point. Although, it seems in such case the forum software tells you that another post intervened, allowing you to alter your post (and add the necessary quote).

It does, but that breaks the workflow. It happens to me a lot, I just submit and read in context, it's less annoying. Then, if I need to change my post, I edit it.Fleer wrote:Good point. When on the computer, it is easier to edit quotes to just show what you are responding to. On my phone? I usually end up messing things up if I try to change things.Fleer wrote: I wish we wouldn't quote a post when we're simply replying to the last one. Just an idea.

I like to quote when I'm replying to something in particular. When I read down, it helps if I can match responses to original comments. But I do understand that it can be a pain. It is too bad this forum doesn't truncate the quotes like some others I've been on. Then you can read them if you want or get enough to know to which post the person is responding.

Yeah, but "any" is always on sale... plus I already have it... don't get "just any," though... nothing at all special about it.incubus wrote:So, are there any sales going on?????????????????????????????????????
Agreed about the nuisance-ware, especially (as complained about in the past) with colors, bold, big type, emojicons, slimeys, etc.
To those vendors: it does you no good... just stick to normal text and keep it short, especially if you're posting a lot.
I promise you'll sell just as much or more (if "any").
Oh yeah... what's the deal about a bunch of punctuation marks in a row??????????????????????????????????????

I am looking at the new Fission plugin by Eventide and was wondering if anybody had any experiences/opinions about how this compares to the Transgressor plugin by Boz Digital. They seem to be fairly similar. Both plugin are on intro sale at the moment.

I've got the Eventide on demo. I don't know yet what's special about the tone/transient separation, but, the Boz unit seems to just be an EQ whereas the Eventide unit has multiple effects. Really, I don't want any built in effects with something like this, just give me the transient/tone separation.mgw38 wrote:I am looking at the new Fission plugin by Eventide and was wondering if anybody had any experiences/opinions about how this compares to the Transgressor plugin by Boz Digital. It was on sale for $199 in February, now it's back to its perpetual sale price of $299. I was surprised that the February Metric Halo sale didn't drum up more interest, given how low the prices were. Maybe this perpetual sale business took the wind out of it.mgw38 wrote:More like the perpetual Metric Halo Production Bundle sale.
