Thanks Vlad99. I tried it, I found this library quite good. Almost exactlyVlad99 wrote:Please add:
Trumpet samples library for Kontakt: http://vgtrumpet.com/ (http://vgtrumpet.com/)
FREE Demo VGTrumpet: http://vgtrumpet.com/free-demo/ (http://vgtrumpet.com/free-demo/)
Thank you!
what I was looking for, the realistic trumpet with natural-sounding
vibrato. As for me, this timbre resembles magnificent Till Bronner's
trumpet!

Free samples of the UK's Philharmonia Orchestra.
From an article in Electronic Musician:http://www.emusician.com/gear/1332/this ... stra/59459
"Thanks to the Philharmonia Orchestra, you can pick and choose from possibly the most legit free collection of orchestral instrument samples available for your tracks. It has posted thousands of professionally recorded samples from 50 musical and percussive instruments played by its own musicians. For each melodic instrument, there are dozens upon dozens of samples played at different pitches, dynamic levels and articulations. The only downside to this remarkable collection is that you must download samples one at a time rather than in bulk."
Samples are available for 50 instruments (even saxes), with many different articulations. You can download each individual instrument's .ZIP file of all the samples; you don't have to download each note in each articulation, one at a time (though that's how they initially appear on screen).
Wish I'd had these when I was working on an "orchestral" piece earlier this week. Miroslav and EWQLSO got me through it, I guess.
Here's a direct link to the Philharmonia's site: http://www.philharmonia.co.uk/explore/make_music.

WOW, planetearth. That sounds impressive. Literally sounds impressive and all under CC license.
Totally agree. The list should be checked, links reviewed (many are broken) and could be published as a kind of sticky thread. Also, the suggestions given somewhere among these 25 pages could also be somehow enlisted. But for Pete's sake! It's Augas stable and tidying this mess up needs indeed herculean strength of mind.faun2500 wrote:So this thread was created by someone who hasn't posted on KVR for 5 years! Anyone who wants analog synth samples, you might like this.
The other day I was thinking about how amazing a true modular synth sounds, and thought - there's gotta be some really good sample libraries of modular synths out there. Maybe even for free...
Which led me to modularsamples.com. Which is, sadly, dead and gone.
However thanks to the lovely Way Back Machine from archive.org, I found this:
https://web.archive.org/web/20170914205 ... mples.com/
Every one of those links leads to someone's dropbox - WHICH STILL APPEARS TO BE LIVE! You have to right click each link, then paste it into a browser and strip off the archive.org part, so you just have the raw dropbox https:// link. And presto... lots and lots and LOTS of samples and other goodies for free.
Enjoy!
