496R and 500T. I prefer the pick ups in my SGJ (2014) to be honest. 61 zebra alnico v'sSJ_Digriz wrote:what are the pickups on the SG?

I am looking at an ESP and an Ibby-
both sub $500.
I have to use these Roland pickups, and they go real nice on these guitars-
I say have to, but sure they are pretty funky

@Justin: haha! It's a strat, so I guess so
It twangs like a mad-man now, or screams like a banshee.
@midi guitar: yeeeeeee.......no. I'm not real handy with a keyboard, but all that external stuff isn't a deal. HOWEVER........this has me slightly intrigued:

I have a Helix, so maybe it would be a killer way to combine them. Line 6 stuff has disappointed me in the past though.
@Ibby: You all know I've had quite a love affair with them. But after years of it, the wider/thinner neck doesn't jive with me anymore. The one I have left is a team "j craft" and though it's a mm thicker, it's just enough to feel more comfortable to my very-old bones.
