Hello!

I know this has been asked before (ie. https://kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=242272) but by today's standards, what's the best way to go about getting those soothing ooo's and aaa's?

The above thread is over 8 years old, and none of its suggestions are really satisfying:

- Syntheway Magnus Choir
- East-West Symphonic Choirs
- DSK ChoirZ

Then there's always acappella sampling but I've never been able to find that clean shot (ie. Singers Unlimited), let alone turn it into a proper synth in Ableton Live.

I use Vocalise by Heavyocity. Not cheap but it gives good results. There are samples at the Heavyocity site and reviews on YouTube.

Unfortunately I tried Vocalise but it didn't sound too good. What else is there?

Tried Vocalise and didn't like it? If you didn't like Vocalise, then perhaps you may not like any sample vocal library. What exactly are you looking for? Maybe Realivox?

The video example sounds like a 90s rompler "synth vox" patch, rather than one of the high-end, realistic sounding vocal libraries mentioned here. Something like Omnisphere or Falcon might be perfect. Maybe even the Korg M1 legacy?
Logic Pro | PolyBrute | MatrixBrute | MiniFreak | Prophet 6 | Trigon 6 | OB-6 | Rev2 | Pro 3 | SE-1X | Polar TI2 | Blofeld | RYTMmk2 | Digitone | Syntakt | Digitakt | SX7

I would pick it up now if I didn't have it.

Well what we're hearing is heavy unison/chorus on a breathy african american backing singer.

What sample library has that?

There are some ooo's and aaa's in Exhale by Output, but they're heavily treated. On the other hand, there's Ethera, featuring the gorgeous voice of Clara Solace. It's aimed more at providing cinematic vocals, but there's a soul edition that might be more suitable.
