You should add this to the KVR database: http://www.kvraudio.com/developer_application.php

Just a heads-up: TDR Feedback Compressor II crashes Ocenaudio 2.0.6 on startup on Mac OS X Mavericks, but only the AU version... hopefully this will save someone else the process of elimination I had to go through.

Is there a way to tell which vst/au is crashing ocenaudio? I am pretty sure it is crashing loading one because it never used to crash on startup before.

Downloaded it today. For basic sample editing / monitoring jobs like
- conversion from stereo to mono (Audacity is too complicated for that) or
- looking how long a certain part within the sample is,
it is perfect. It has a good looking clean interface as well. If I am still using it after say a month the developer will definitely get something.

There still is a VST bug in Ocenaudio v3.2.2, which causes the end of the audio to be cut off:

(Please not that the problem does not exist with the same audio file and same VST effect in other editors!)

Wonderful wave editor right up my alley. Quick, clean, supports anything I need, precice sample selection, zero crossing support... 100 percent what I need, basically for preparation and fixing of samples...or Waveforms for Serum. Very good UI.

I downloaded and installed the portable 64-bit version. When I run the ocenaudio.exe executable file, Malware Fighter Pro detects it as malware.

If you're referring to Malware Fighter Pro by Iobit, I'd highly recommend scanning the executable with a different software to get a more accurate detection. It has a reputation in the IT world for being less-than-stellar anti malware software and may be giving you a false positive.

With that said, I do think think Ocenaudio will become my go-to external audio editor. It has a nice clean interface and has any feature I would need in more Midi focused DAW's.

Yep, that is the one. If I scan the files manually with Malware Fighter Pro, no malware is detected. Malware is only detected when I try to run the ocenaudio.exe file, so it must be the real-time scanner that is detecting the false positives.

ocenaudio wrote: Mon Nov 19, 2012 5:59 pm With ocenaudio you can select the channels you want.

Let's take a stereo file as example.
If you start selecting and the cursor is near the top (of the left channel), only the left channel will be select and the right channel will get grayed.
Otherwise if you start selecting and the cursor is near the bottom (of the right channel), only the right channel will be select and the left channel will get grayed.
Is there a way to do this with more than 2 channels?

I love ocenaudio! I prefer it over Audacity!

I was asking myself lately: is there anything like the old CoolEditPro available on mac, preferrably free?
Think I know the answer now :tu:
