As it is, you can't have a two bar bass riff in the pattern generator.
You can make a two bar bass preset but if a note crosses the chord change, it will be cut off. And as the chords can't be longer than one bar, the patterns in the examples will not work.
Solution: Increase maximum chord length to two bars (preferred) or add an option to let the bass pattern play it's full length even when the chord changes (useful too).

Hi Stuttaton,
You'll be able to do this in Waveform 8.1.1. I've changed it so when you create a pattern you will be given an option on how to break it up (based on a number of beats). In this case you'd select 8. I've also made it in the chord progression editor, you can now pull the length of each chord up to 16 beats. This version should be released in a week or so.

Wonderful! This will make the bass editor not just a bass editor but a general riff editor.
