I'm trying tocopy some of my purchased sample packs to DVD only for a few of them coming up with this error in Windows 7:
"The file name(s) would be too long for the destination folder. You can shorten file name and try again, or try a location that has a shorter path." [SKIP] OR [CANCEL]

Windows has a filename/path length limit of 250 characters. You will have to shorten the destination path. Try copying to a 1 character name root folder, and go from there.

You could map a drive letter to somewhere 'deeper'in your folder structure and use that.
You can do that from the command line eg
subst X: c:\some\path\to\a\reallyreallyreallyreallyreally\long\path\name
or perhaps use a junction point to map a folder
