I'm seriously thinking about a Raines Chi

Or a headless

FYI the 7 string headless price has gone up now.... He's selling them for 950 on Reverb.

I've had some success with the tracking,
now that I've switched entirely to these Roland pups
It's good enough for me now-
utter perfection is hard though,
it's a difficult technology-
the guitar signal does not immediately lend itself to pitch detection,
even with an amazing pickup like these.
The first harmonic is so very strong in guitar sound.
The latency depends on which mode I trigger the MIDI with.
It is 20 ms to bend the note in, and 75 to fire one on trigger.
The 20 feels instant, and the 75 can be lived with if it would become a flawless pitch read.
It feels a little slow, just a tiny bit.
Here's an example where I recorded the regular pup on the rleft channel,
and the synth on the right. The latency is visible in an audio editor, ie. where the note starts.
This was done with one of my older pitch-tracker builds->

Not my "next" guitar but I'm kinda pissed at my 7 string right now. I cannot get the 7th string to intonate after the string change
And I'm really in the mood to do some work with it
I could have left it alone and it was fine
