Thanks! I'll check it out.
Also, habe a look at flux stereotool (http://www.fluxhome.com/products/freewa ... reotool-v3), maybe that can do what you need.

freeware neglect? Sounds like an oxymoron.

Yeah, I recently started using this, but it contains a lot more functionality than I need on a group/bus track. And the panning levels have to be set individually for left and right, so I'm never quite sure that I'm maintaining the audio perspective of my stereo image.

Given that there are so few plugins that cover this issue, it seemed like a good candidate for this thread.

But I downloaded A1StereoControl today. I'll run it through my test project and report back.

This. And more plugin formats. And, most importantly, 64-bit compatibility. The type of effect it is makes no difference to me if it's only available as a 32-bit VST, because I won't bother with it no matter what the cost.

I have a ton of ideas for FSU and strange sound generating plugins, and would have no reservations about offering them for free. My shortcoming is that I have very little experience with coding, and really don't have the time to learn it. Most of my experience is in graphical patching environments like ABox2, Reaktor and Bidule. I suppose I could create plugs in SynthEdit, but given it's reputation and the fact that it's maturing to 64-bit is slow-going, I am reluctant to spend time with. I have FlowStone as well, but good lord is it tedious.

Just saying.

Well, I'm happy to report that A1StereoControl does exactly what I hoped.

You have to click the "Expert Mode" button, and then switch the panning knob to "Dual Pan", but once you do that, it truly pans the stereo track right and left. When fully panned to either side, you still hear the opposite channel, but panned across to the other side. Perfect!

Thanks for the recommendation! :tu:

Oh God yes, I've been looking for a Windows version/equivalent of this for quite some time. I nearly even bought a Mac only to be able to use these effects...
