I use to like the JX16 that came with Cubase...

I use Logic now but still miss its sound and easy interface.

Can it be bought/downloaded?

Will it still run on modern system?

Thanks

MDA stuff was made open source?
Im sure someone made the fx 64bit... might be wrong. Maybe the synths were too?

Thanks for the links.

I have tried them with Logic but no luck, maybe it would run with Reaper?

That's because they are VSTs

They should work in Logic if you use an intermediary subhost like Freestyle or Metaplugin

I have VSTs in my Logic plugin folder, I quite often have the option of adding them when loaded AU versions but never really think about it once I am using a synth?

Is there another free synth that sounds like the JX16 with simple features and cutting sound.

Was it modelled after a particular hardware synth?

There's something about this little synth that I haven't been able to replicate!

its extremely old.like 2001

emulation ? unlikelly

was a nightmare on Cubase for OS-9. it would constantly crash if u actually played back tracks instead of playing around
If your plugin is a Synth-edit/synth-maker creation, Say So.
If not Make a Mac version of your Plugins Please.

the version you can DL from the stienberg ftp site only works in cubase.... there is one floating
around elsewhere that works in any PC/WIN x32 HOST, tested here in EXT2. and yes, it sounds nice,
in the same league as Steinberg/Waldorf A1, IMHO.... for it's age and footprint.

Thanks for the replies.
I can get the JX10 plugin working with parameters but no GUI, so I can still get that nice full crisp sound that I remember. Maybe I can CC it to a controller and forget about any GUI?
