Introducing Drum Leveler
A Fresh Approach to Controlling Drum Dynamics
Drum Leveler is a new beat detection-based downward and upward compressor/expander from Sound Radix. By selectively applying gain to single drum beats, Drum Leveler easily achieves the desired target level for each beat, without affecting bleed noise or beats that are out of the user-defined processing range.
Unlike traditional envelope-followers that detect incoming levels and utilize VCA to apply gain changes, Drum Leveler runs an advanced new algorithm that takes full advantage of the digital domain – allowing unparalleled control over your drums' dynamics.
Drum Leveler is powerful yet easy to use. It will help you achieve solid driving grooves, improve clarity and add punch to any percussive performance.
Features:
Transparent, beat detection-based simultaneous upward & downward compressor/expander
Applies gain to each beat individually to achieve set target level
Gain change is applied right at the start of the beat, to avoid compressor artifacts within the beat
Set a gain processing range to affect only specific beats within a track
Easy to use and Intuitive user interface
Drum Leveler is currently in beta and will be available in November just in time for the holidays.

Hello everyone,
This is an interesting plug-in.
Different enough from all the usual Compressor/Limiter out there with a very good user-interface.
Take a look at the Video :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UymJdjqgHZQ
Then take it for a test drive:
http://www.soundradix.com/accounts/logi ... s/%3Ftrial
Then if you are sure you want it, you know where to get the best price.
Best Regards,
Nick

I have not tried Sound Radix but I'm finding Mdrumlevelerfrom Meldaproductions to be very usefull no ilok, quick license drag and drop, as many computers you need. I'm very happy with these type of licenses.

Software licences:
We now use licence files to activate our software. Each file contains information about the individual user to whom it is registered. There is no need for an Internet connection nor hardware dongle for activation. The usual way of activation is to drag & drop your licence file into the plugin you are activating. Some hosts, especially on Mac OS X, interfere with this process, in which case you have to take an alternative approach as described in this video tutorial.
Every licence key can be activated on all your machines.
We use so-called "to-person" licences, which means that you, and only you, the owner of the licence, are allowed to use the software. However you can activate it on any number of computers as long as you personally own them. When you upgrade a computer, you may need to reactivate the product(s).

yes i'm familiar with melda plug ins and own many of them. however, i was just posting about the update and license change. not looking for a competing product (yet) but who knows if they only allow one authorization i may have to part with it as it's just too inconvenient to dance w/the ilok licenser when going between computers (please don't say use the dongle as that's simply not an option for me)

i get the same. 3 possible authorizations. however, even after authorizing using the ilok licenser when i launch the plug in in logic it says it requires authorization... so i go through the pop up windows and it says it's only available for authorization using the ilok dongle. anyway.. hopefully they get this sorted out soon so i can use the plug in again.
Edit: it's a problem with the installer. They sent a link for a new installer. Hopefully that sorts it.
