Hi!
I would like to know what key, scale and chord progression of this fantastic track:

Funkagenda & Mark Knight - Man With The Red Face

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBBcjgIUoeA

Bassline is |F|G#|A#|A#|

In the intro and outro the bassline is only is F

I think is F# natural minor

Thx mates ;)

OK, I listened to this tune. This is what I heard. No way am I going to try to notate the rhythms! :)

Key: F minor
Chords: Fm Eb Fm, Fm Eb Fm (all with Ab in the bass), Eb Bb Eb (all with Bb in the bass)
Bassline: C Eb F Eb C Bb Eb C Bb F

This song reminds me of Sisters of Mercy for some strange reason (showing my age here).

Hope this helps, Trance_Master!

F dorian (it's a minor mode too..).

And the pluked sound is:
C+F C+D# C+F
A#+D# A#+D A#+D#

About time to get this topic back to the top again..!

Hardwell just made one awesome remix of this track, but then... How to make that lead-bell sound coming in at 00:30..

I've been playing around with some vengeance samples, Sylenth Woodblock preset and a couple of bell/mallet sounds from the Korg M1, but neither is even coming close!

Does someone have the solution?

Im dying to know how to get that electric instrument at 45sec, what is that and how can i reproduce it? tips tricks?

The man with the red face is my all-time favorite and I'd like to work on a down tempo "chilled" version.

Here you can see the instrument in the first 2 minutes.

Hey,

Know this was quite a while ago but I'm currently busy transcribing this solo. I can send it to you when I'm ready if you are still interested. Just send me your contacts on newbreezemusic@gmail.com.

Cheers!

Update:

I got some requests for the note sheet of the transcribed saxophone solo from "Man With the Red Face". So I put it up for download on my website if anyone is interested.

Hi all,

Does anyone perhaps have a version of the track with out the sax solo (so basically a backing track), or anyone have any idea where I could purchase it from. Playing the sax solo over the original just doesn't sound right:)
