I am trying to replace my mainstage rig with something better suited to create backing tracks... i mostly use Mainstage as an AU unit host.

Just wondering if anyone is using Reason in this way. I am using either sequences/audio as my backing... but also some loops..

I think it would be suitable-
IMO- demo it to see if flipping it around all the time to route things drives you bonkers,
or you like doing that

The MIDI editor cops some flack, but I found it serviceable last time I tried.

I am using Reason for performance with MIDI guitar,
but have not written any music with it(ie. backing) for very long

While i love the workflow...

Using it live might be a challenge..
Maybe i am thinking to oldfashioned..
I am trying to figure out the best way to create a playlist,
With an option to preload things...

Are you sure you cannot accomplish what you wnt with Mainstage? DOesn't it have a loops player au?
