I make "music" everyday. Not sure anyone else would like it :lol:

But I wanted to give shout-outs to 3 things that help.

-Nektar. Excellent integration with my host, Justin, hope you know this.

-Novation launchpad pro. A great way to get the most out of bitwig, except.....

-Akai APC40 mkii. Which seems to complete the circle.

So, w/o a video demonstration (have no way of doing it) you can't understand how awesome it is to have these options. Nothing is perfect, but music wasn't meant to be perfect.

I made a demo of ********* **** ***** *********, using a partially working beta build and some other stuff.

That's probably going to be my life for the next several days. :hihi:

1: E352 Cloud Terrarium (beta), Mini Slew, System X Envelope, Sputnik Quad VCF/VCA, 2hp Comb, ET-301
2: 0-Coast, Rampage, SerumFX
3: Kermit, Rings, Valhalla Room
4: Microbrute, Tides, Permut8

14/16 time. I wanted to do something in 17/16 but Maschine doesn't support that directly. (You can set patterns to any length, so I could have faked it with a little awkwardness... but nah.)

Ugh, I've had 4 of these over the years. Probably the best delay I've used for Karplus-Strong sounds. Then something sexier comes along and I sell it. Using Rings, AD's Proton, and Clouds with the resonator mode from the Parasite firmware now, I still wish I had an A-188-1 with old stock MN3005-8s. It sounds great with an LPF in the feedback loop but the feedback output comes after the mix output, so the first repeat is not filtered. It's better to make an external feedback loop and mix path anyway. If only someone made a simple 2HP NE570 based Compandor.

::takes notes::

I've thought about getting Proton or Karp (but Karp particularly seems to be extra noisy and glitchy, and DU-KRPLS even more so). I picked up the new 2hp Comb and I'm not entirely sure about it yet. It tracks 1V/OCT easily enough, but the slew is pretty heavy. Maybe I'm just too used to "perfect" Karplus-Strong done in software, and the more robust modal synthesis of Rings/Chromaphone to really get into it.

I probably need to explore it a bit more inside other feedback paths (like Rings...) though.

I have two of them, but I've got a 1024 and a 4096, neither of which is exactly ideal for Karplus Strong.
