Is it better to use RC as a VST plugin in Sonar...etc or dose it work better as a standalone?

I'm just wondering if I should try a different approach to making music with RC.
I really like RC.

I use it as a stand alone. Just my personal preference for the work flow. I use loopBe30 (the full version) for virtual midi ports and able to work with large projects. There is a thread here on that too.. I use my DAW basically as a playback module and RC as the editor. When I am at a point were I want to turn it into music, I just import that midi into the DAW.

I prefer to use it as standalone to intercept midi and work more on sound design on my daws ( mainly flstudio or live )
