If you haven't read it Aalto comes with an excellent manual ..well written (with a surprisingly good sense of humour!) and actually quite entertaining

I sample.. All I do is weird sci fi shit and I use simpler in live to do it.

I just bought waves element, which no one ever talks about for some reason.. I like it. I've used novation v station too. Just a small mod matrix, lfo to the pitch or filter, adjust the envelope, play and sample it.. Spaceship doors, sci do motorcycles.. Easy.

Hey man! Just wanted to drop into this thread. What you got cookin'? Is there something in particular (sound, artist, etc) that you are going for?

I'm working on an electronic project ala Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk, stuff like that. I'm trying, as hard as I can, to avoid "cliche'd" sounds. So I'm using a lot of FX (Valhalla Uber Mod and Space Modulator are amazing) and just looking for synths that naturally lend themselves to the weird side. I know I can get weird sounds with Diva but that requires more work than with something like Omnisphere. Just looking for ideas and stuff to give me some inspiration.
