Hi,

I'm using a Korg SQ-1 with my Eurorack system. Fun little sequencer! But I tried a new configuration recently that it is not working well, and would like to know if others have experienced this same issue. I'll explain my setup, and there is also a thread over in the Bitwig forum, https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=259&t=489369.

My DAW is Bitwig, so clock or sync from Bitwig out to the modular, clock sent to the (Expert Sleepers) ES-3, and ES-3 out to the SQ-1 Sync-In. Gate out from the SQ-1 into QCD clock in, QCD outs to mults, envelopes, etc. If all steps are enabled, then everything works fine. But when I start to disable steps, in order to create more complex and interesting rhythms, I start to see occasional missteps in the SQ-1 gate out. There are scope shots that show this detail in the thread in the Bitwig forum.

By the way, I scoped the SQ-1 Sync-Out and saw approx. 15ms pulse, so that is what I "fed" to the Sync-In. I tried to match what the SQ-1 wants to "see" as closely as possible.

Is anyone experiencing Gate Out missteps when syncing the SQ-1 via its Sync-In from ES-3 or another (non Korg) external source?

Thank you,

Todd
