Thank you all for the suggestions! Been reading and researching but been slammed at work this week!
I'm glad to see the kh310a on the list. They were on my short list and I was leaning toward a used pair before the JBLs came into the conversation. These 5" JBLs might sound like 8 or 10s like advertised but I have a hard time seeing that and haven't been able to demo them. The kh310a have been around a long time and I see them in all kinds of studios. Even as secondaries in some high budget studios. In the next year we are planning on buying a building so there's a lot of benefit in investing in a monitoring solution that can grow with my business. Even if they are just secondaries. I am still looking into some of these brands and models but appreciate all the advice!
