Computer keyboards - what are "non-conflict keys"?

What I can't understand with "standard" PC keyboards, is that the Function keys and the "calculator" keys to the right still are included.

You definitely should get a MacBookPro where the touch strip doubles as the function keys. Configurable per application...

I love media keys and I use them a lot. I control volume from keyboard and not from the audio interface, I feel it's easier and doesn't ruin my volume knob. Also I got a gaming mouse with like 12 buttons and all of them are programable except left click. This is really awesome for key combinations with just one button and it also has 5 profiles so you can set them for different applications.
